Transform Your Parishioners and Your Parish!
Pope Benedict has reminded us …

“Many people perceive Christianity as something institutional – rather than as an encounter with Christ… Christianity is not a new philosophy or new morality. We are Christians only if we encounter Christ… Only in this personal relationship with Christ, only in this encounter with the Risen One do we really become Christians.”
One talk is given for three consecutive evenings along with an optional healing service to conclude. Some Parishes Prefer a Saturday Mini Retreat style.
The Ministry of Jesus as recorded in the gospels was Preaching Teaching and Healing ..
This is what Matthew says: “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people”
Proclamation-Explanation -Demonstration are the key components for our Renewal Programmes and are the main subjects and focus in all our Parish Missions.

TALK 1
RELIGION TO RELATIONSHIP

Pope Francis says in par. 14 of The Joy of the Gospel,
“The New Evangelisation focuses on “the baptised whose lives do not reflect the demands of baptism, who lack a meaningful relationship to the Church and no longer experience the consolation born of faith.”
The Church is steeped in Sacred Traditions which includes the Sacramental process – Feast Days – Various Devotions and liturgy which all provide a good foundation for all Catholics.
However The Fathers of the Church recognise that even with all this in place many Catholics have never encountered a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. This First talk is an inspirational message to everyone to surrender fully their lives to Christ and experience a conversion or reconversion
St.John Paul II wrote,
“The proclamation of the Word of God has Christian conversion as its aim: a complete and sincere adherence to Christ and his Gospel through faith. Conversion is a gift of God, a work of the Blessed Trinity.” ( Pic )
Pope Francis says in par 3 of Evangelii Gaudium,
“I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them. ( pic )
TALK 2
THE HOLY WORD OF GOD – “GOD AND HIS WORD ARE ONE “
Pope St. John Paul said ..

“All Catholics, lay and clerical, “In order to recognize who Christ truly is, should turn with renewed interest to the Bible, ‘whether it be through the liturgy, rich in the divine word, or through devotional reading” (Par. 40 The Coming Third Millennium).
St Jerome the famous scripture scholar of the church said
“ Ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ. “
Although the Mass and many Catholic Devotions are full of Scripture Quotations it’s a historical fact that Since the Reformation the Fathers of the Church in order to protect against so many heresies discouraged personal bible reading by the laity. This is most understandable as the schism was so fierce and persecution was spreading throughout Christendom.
Protestants who held to the doctrine of “ Sola Scriptura “ ( Scripture alone ) soon divided over their various interpretations of the bible whereas the Catholic church held more to the Doctrine of
“ Prima Scriptura” (Scripture First )
However since the 2nd Vatican Council the Magisterium has been encouraging the Faithful to the reading and studying of The Holy Word of God.
“The Bible “stands as the support and energy of the Church, the strength of faith for her sons, the food of the soul, the pure and everlasting source of spiritual life” (Dei Verbum 21).

This talk will emphasise the importance of Gods word in our lives and how we need to study the scriptures to receive guidance for our lives .
TALK 3

THE HOLY SPIRIT -HOW TO BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
The ministry of Jesus was a joint mission with The Holy Spirit
Jesus relied fully in The Holy Spirit to lead and direct His ministry. However in todays church he is “The Forgotten” member of The Trinity.
If you were to ask the average catholic today what were the main feasts in todays church most would say ‘Christmas and Easter ‘and yet the main feast celebrated is ‘ Pentecost ‘ and the reason being is that Jesus gave it the utmost importance.
Jesus said to his Apostles before he returned to heaven
“ Go into the city of Jerusalem and wait till you receive power from on high and then you shall be my witnesses “ (Acts 1v 8)
This talk will emphasise the need for everyone to receive a fresh outpouring of The Holy Spirit.
